Elephant Swamp Trail is a hidden little treasure in an unexpected place. To find the entrance you need to go to the back of the baseball fields in Elmer, NJ. The trail is not marked with a sign. This is what you will see.
This trail is a built on an old railroad bed. You will see signs of the old railroad bed as you walk the trail. Here is an old railroad tie I saw on the trail.
We saw a toad.
We saw a robin's egg.
We passed by swamps, streams and farm fields.
The trail runs from Elmer up to Elk Township Recreation Park.
Go out and enjoy some of South Jersey's nature!
Are you referring to the baseball fields right in Elmer? Or the Greenbranch fields? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThe baseball fields right in Elmer. You need to go all the way to the back,
